Before Your Appointment
When you first contact us, our friendly treatment coordinator, Leslie, will gather the information needed to make your visit go smoothly. This may include your insurance details and a request for recent x-rays from your general dentist. Whenever possible, Leslie will verify your insurance coverage before you arrive, so there are no surprises.
Your First Visit With Dr. Schur
Every time you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted by our welcoming team. Dr. Schur will spend time getting to know you and learning about your treatment goals and concerns. He’ll perform a thorough orthodontic exam to evaluate your teeth, jaws, and bite, review your photographs and x-rays, and explain all of your treatment options. Using our iTero digital scanner, we can often show you a preview of how your teeth will move.
Reviewing Your Options and Next Steps
After you meet with Dr. Schur, Leslie will sit down with you to outline your options and next steps. She’ll sequence, coordinate, and schedule your follow-up appointments and work with you to set up convenient financial arrangements. Dr. Schur will also bring together any information from your dentist or other specialists. You’ll leave our office knowing exactly what comes next.

How often are orthodontic appointments?
It depends on your treatment plan. Patients in braces are typically seen every 4 to 6 weeks, while Invisalign® patients usually come in less often. You’ll receive a precise schedule during your initial consultation.
Will I be seen promptly at my scheduled appointment time?
Yes! We know your time is valuable, so our office runs on time. We take pride in proper scheduling so your care is provided promptly, effectively, and efficiently.
Will my dentist and other specialists be informed about my treatment?
Yes. Dr. Schur and his team consider communication between you, your dentist, and any other specialists an essential part of your care. We handle this coordination for you as part of our concierge-level service, and with your permission, we share x-rays and photos in accordance with HIPAA. We will never hold your records hostage.
Do you treat adults?
